Honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People
On May 5, 2025, Mikisew Group invites you to join us in recognizing Red Dress Day, a National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S). This day is an important opportunity to honour the lives lost, support their families, and commit to actions that address systemic violence.
Symbolism of the Red Dress
The red dress has become a powerful symbol of the women, girls, and Two-Spirit people who have been taken too soon. It represents both a visible reminder of the ongoing crisis and a call to action for justice, accountability, and change. By participating in Red Dress Day, we join together to ensure their stories are heard and their legacies honoured.
